Corporate Support Prospectus
"Our decade long involvement with NAMDRC has offered value on multiple levels. The opportunity for
senior management to interface with ‘thought-leaders’ within the respiratory clinical community is unique among
association experiences. Openly sharing perspectives and concerns on clinical, regulatory and reimbursement
issues has been very beneficial and in many ways a catalyst for positive change within the industry."
Executive VP, Apria Healthcare
NAMDRC (formerly the National Association for Medical Direction of Respiratory Care) was founded as a
non-profit organization in the late 1970s by leaders from the American College of Chest Physicians, the American
Thoracic Society, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. At that time, the physician leaders of these
associations saw the need for a unified voice of the respiratory care community before regulatory agencies and
legislators in Washington, DC. In the past quarter century, NAMDRC has distinguished itself in
Washington, DC, as being at the helm of the legislative and regulatory arena, shaping and monitoring a myriad of
legislative and regulatory issues affecting the practice of respiratory care. It also interprets and advises on coding
issues and federal reimbursement policies, and provides extensive continuing education opportunities.
NAMDRC’s membership, consisting of 700 physicians serving in close to 2,000 hospitals throughout
the U.S., embodies the full range of pulmonary and related care services including: respiratory care,
pulmonary medicine, respiratory home health care and long term care services, critical care, sleep
disorders, pulmonary rehabilitation, pulmonary physiology diagnostics, ventilator management, and
hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
| NAMDRC AND ITS CORPORATE SPONSORS |
Throughout its history, NAMDRC has maintained cooperative and mutually productive
relations with the respiratory care industry. Device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies have
provided generous grants (restricted and unrestricted) in support of educational seminars, publications, and

NAMDRC’s sponsors enjoy the benefit of effective contact and productive dialogue with leading
physicians in the pulmonary medicine community. NAMDRC’s Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) has
proven especially helpful in advising NAMDRC leadership about industry trends and how they affect
patient care.
