Learning Objectives & CME Credits

At the conclusion of this educational conference, the participant should be better able to:

  1. identify clinical and management issues related to current practice of respiratory, critical care and sleep medicine;
  2. illustrate key specific advances and changes in the fields of pulmonary medicine;
  3. critique recent key studies related to the fields of pulmonary medicine;
  4. recognize the impact of regulation and legislation in pulmonary clinical practices;
  5. apply new information to the respective clinical practices of meeting attendees;
  6. promote the highest quality and standards of respiratory care delivery.

Interactive Audience Response System at NAMDRC

We will be utilizing an Audience Response System in all educational sessions to facilitate an interactive learning experience between the speakers and program attendees. Through a wireless handheld unit, speakers will be able to query the attendees with results posted simultaneously to better facilitate discussion.

The Continuing Education credits will be available to all physicians and nurses.

Education Credits: Thursday: 4.50, Friday: 4.25 Saturday: 4.00, Total Credits: 12.75

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American College of Chest Physicians and the National Association for Medical Direction of Respiratory Care. The American College of Chest Physicians is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American College of Chest Physicians designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The American College of Chest Physicians is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16433, for 12.75 contact hours.

ABIM Maintenance of Certification Information

Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 12.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

Upon successful completion of this course, CHEST will submit your completion data to ABIM via ACCME's Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) for MOC points. Please allow 3-5 business days after claiming for points to be reflected on your ABIM record.
