RODRIGO CARTIN-CEBA, MD, MSc
Dr. Rodrigo Cartin-Ceba, MD, MSc, is originally from Costa Rica where he attended medical school at the University of Costa Rica. He then trained in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Cartin-Ceba finished a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Cartin-Ceba has been a consultant in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic since 2010, initially in Minnesota and since 2015 in Mayo Clinic Arizona.
Dr. Cartin-Ceba is currently the program director of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona and is also the director of research of the Department of Critical Care in Mayo Clinic Arizona.
Dr. Cartin-Ceba’ s main research interest is related to the pathogenesis of sepsis. His current research is focused on the role of lipotoxicity in the development of sepsis and worsening organ failure.
